This kitchen is located in the front room of a listed building with high ceilings, elaborate plasterwork and other original features. The designer envisaged a contemporary kitchen that could sit lightly in the space and not compete so the mass is broken up by using a number of different materials and finishes
The island incorporates a Walnut dining table and Walnut trim runs through to form door handles. At the sink end, pewter cladding wraps the sides and folds down to form the sinks. The main run of the kitchen has Corian worktops with high-gloss spray painted cupboard fronts. In the bay window we built a freestanding chest of drawers clad completely in Corian.
